Resina are: Marco Messina, Lino Monaco, Nicola Buono Resina aren’t laptop fanatics. Their sound, though essentially electronic, has an analogic soul; it’s dirty, lively, the outcome of a “physical” manipulation on the musical matter: instead of arranging sequences with a mouse, Resina still prefer the physical contact with the knobs of the mixer, of the synthetizers and of the effects, better if vintage. The approach is somehow similar to that of the seminal kraut bands of the ’70s and of the “cosmic” visionaries, pioneers of ambient electronic music. in “Opinio Omnium” the trio expresses a really personal way of interpreting “intelligent dance music”, building long instrumental tracks whose obsessive, hypnotic rhythm is wrapped up in constantly changing musical scenarios, thick “glitch” nebulae and noises, creakings, screechings.
